So I recently bought a new MAC foundation, and as I was putting it into my make up storage, I came across these...

Ergh! WHY did I need to buy another MAC foundation?! WHY?!

I am offcially not buying another foundation until I have used every last drop of these! Full stop.

Foundation is probably one of my favourite products to buy and experiment with, so I am definitely going to miss buying it. But, alas, I need to start saving my money a little more.

For now I'm just going to have to start thinking about which foundation I am going to treat myself with once I've finished...

Tigi Bed Head Dumb Blonde Reconstructor...

On the subject of Tigi Bed Head, I thought I would share my thoughts on the Dumb Blonde Reconstructor Conditioner, which is made to be used after highlights - although anyone can use it as its just an intensive conditioner.

Cheap Smells

Now the fact that the Tigi Bed Head shampoo and conditioner in my last review impressed me so much, I was expecting bigger and better things from this intensive conditioner too. I'm a big fan of intensive hair conditioners, and I figured that seen as I have bleached high lights, this would be fabulous.... nahhhahhhh.

It smells nice, and although its quite a thick consistancy, its not too hard to work with. But my hair felt greasy and horrible after using it, and felt like it left a thick film over my hair. It was awful, and I found myself washing my hair again pretty much straight away.

I've tried it a number of different ways, using it as a normal conditioner, using it once a week as an intensive one, keeping it on over night, using a lot, using a little, everything, but it just doesn't seem to be for me.

I don't know whether its me or not, but there does seem to be some pretty positive reviews out there of it - have you tried it? What do you think?

Personally, my hunt for perfect hair continues!

Tigi Bed Head Urban Antidotes Resurrection Shampoo and Conditioner...

For a long time I was under the impression that shampoo was there to clean hair, conditioner to make it softer and easier to brush, and it was the treatments and serums that you used that really made the difference to your hairs condition.

That was until I started using the Tigi Bed Head Urban Antidotes Resurrection Shampoo and Conditoner.

Cheap Smells

I had always heard good things about this shampoo, but I never really saw the point in spending so much money on it. So when I saw them on cheapsmells.com for £15.99 for two salon sized bottles a couple of months ago. I decided to go for it.

Each bottle is 750ml, and when I compared the price and size to my Herbal Essences, it didn't actually work out that much more, which I was happy about.

These sets come in 3 different strengths depending on what kind of condition your hair are in. I opted for the most intensive ones, and I am very concious that bleaching my hair is definitely having a negative effect on my hair.

So what do they say?

'Urban Anti-Dotes, Resurrection Shampoo and Conditoner is designed for weak brittle hair which needs some extra attention! Micro shields boost strength and stamina creating great results.Resurrection shampoo and Conditoner will cleanse, condition and thicken hair, help prevent colour fading and adds a thermal protection, detangles and smooths cuticle, hair will be 3x stronger and 12x smoother.'

This is the most amazing product I have ever used on my hair. It smells really good, and leaves my hair so UNBELIEVABLE soft, I literally can't stop touching it. It makes my hair look bright and shiney, and doesn't leave any stickyness. The best thing is it is used just like your regular shampoo and conditioner, so there's no waiting around.

The bottles are pretty big and bulking, and are nothing to write home about on the looks front, but they have a very useful pump, meaning your not fannying about squeezing too much out of the bottle.

Cheapsmells stock several different types of twin sets, and every now and then have them on offer - this week being one of those times :)

Each of the discriptions for the different types are fairly specific, so go have a read through them and find the right one for you!

Although its a fairly big payout, it works out roughly the same as drugstore shampoos, and is so worth it. I don't think I could use another shampoo again.

Hey everyone!

I hope your all very well! It feels very strange being on here, it feels like its been years! I decided to give myself abit of time off from all forms of technology - you have probably noticed I haven't been on here or twitter too much at all in the past month or so.

Without boring you too much - and I no I kind of touched on it a couple of posts ago - a lot has been going on with me over the past couple of months, both good and bad, and I really try and put my all into my blogging, but I just felt I couldn't, so I decided to just take a step back for a little while.

But I'm back now and ready for a fresh start, both in my life and my blog :)

Firstly the blog - you will notice that it has got a bit of a new look. I felt that my blog got a bit messy and a bit child like, so I wanted to go for a cleaner, simpler look, thats a little more grown up. Let me know what you think!

Next my life - I've been living with my parents for the past few months, but I am going back to uni at the end of september, so next week I will be moving into my new house. I'm really looking forward to seeing all my lovely housemates again, and as much as I love living at home, it can get pretty manic at times, so it will be nice to have my own space again.

I finished my bar job last week in preperation for starting a new job nearer to where I live. Last year I traveled back to my home town EVERY weekend to work, and although I loved it there, and it gave me chance to see the boy a lot, the travelling took its toll and I felt as though I missed out on a lot in leeds. I have an exciting new job working, which I will tell you more about later, and it is only a 10 minute train ride away from my house. It may mean that I see the boy less, but we're so strong at the moment , we will definitely make it work!

Thanks to all of this change, now also felt like the right time to start blogging again.

I have lots of things coming up, including my first giveaway to celebrate getting to (over) 100 followers aswell as my return.

I've been out of the loop for so long - I want to know what you've all been up to!

My Current Skin Care Routine...

I changed and up dated my skin care routine just about 3 months ago now, and my skin ha never felt better.

Before, I kind of didn't really have a set skincare routine, and my skin was really hit and miss, so I decided it was time that I got myself into a good morning and night routine, and I've never looked back! At first I was testing out different products and combanations, and about 2 months ago I cracked it, and have been using the same products ever since.

Cleanser

I'm sure most of you who are regular blog readers and youtubers will have heard of Cetaphil. I had been wanting to try it, but wasn't overly bothered as it was something that I thought I could only buy on the internet in big bottles, and wasn't too bothered about shelling out on a product that I may or may not like. But I spyed this in Asda when I was doing my weekly shop for just £4. I grabbed myself a bottle and I am sooo glad I did! It is a really gentle cleanser, but not to the point where you feel like its not doing anything, as it got rid of all my make up and leaves a clean smooth base. I use it without water every night before bed, but it can be used with water as well. I don't like to overly cleanse as I worry that it may dry out my skin, so I tend to just use this in the evening, but not in the morning.

Toner

I wanted to try out the new products that Clarins have released specifically for people aged from 18 to their late 20's. I was really pleased to see they had released this, as I don't think there are enough options out there for people with younger skin. I bought this starter kit from boots for £19.50 which gave you a full sized Daily Energizer Moisturiser (which is worth £19.50 and I will mention in a minute) and a sample size Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel and a sample size Daily Energizer Wake-Up Booster. I haven't used the Cleansing Gel as I have been so happy with the Cetaphil, but I have fallen hook line and sinker for the Wake-Up Booster. Clarins claim that this will 'toning green'coffee-charged skin tonic will give your skin a shot of rediance' and it does't half work! It instantly makes your skin feel refreshed, as well as brightening and evening out your skin. It is JUST amazing and probably one of my favourite skin products I have ever come across.

Serum

Serum is something that I have never really thought about before. I decided to go for a No 7 Serum with the recent £5 vouchers they had, so went for their Pore Refining Serum, £13. I wasn't expecting amazing results with this, and I can't say that my pores have magically disapeared, but that are less noticable, and it leaves my skin lovely a soft and even. I'm not sure whether this would be a repurchased item, and I am very much still testing it out, but it definitely doesn't cause me any offence. You only need to use a tiny bit, so the bottle is going to last me for ages, which is definitely a plus.

Day Cream

As mentioned above, I have been using the Clarins Daily Energizer Cream. Made for all skin types, its lovely and light so it doesn't feel as though your clogging up your face, it applies really well and feels beautiful on the skin.

Night Cream

I think I can defintely say I am a Clarins convert as I have been using their Multi Active Night Youth Recovery Comfort Cream, for Normal to Dry Skin. I love this as it smells of sun cream (random I know) and its really thick and luxurious on the skin, making me go to sleep thinking its really going to do some good in the night. I wake up and my skin feels fresh and clean, and ready for a sweep of Wake-Up Booster.

Skin Care is something that I have never really spent any time or effort in. Although I have invested a little more money in it over the past few months, it has really paid off and has definitely been worth it. Having good skin makes a huge difference. I don't feel the need to wear as much make up, it goes on a lot better, and I feel more confident about my skin and don't feel like I have to hide it as much as I used to.

Eyebrow Threading...

So today I went to Darlington with my Mum for a bit of lunch and a catch up. I've only ever driven through before, so didn't know what it would be like, but it was quite a pretty little town.

We were inside the shopping centre they have there, and there was a little stand with a lady who was doing facial threading. I have never had anything threaded before, but I've heard good things about it. My eyebrows are in need of a wax, so I decided to get them threaded instead. And I absolutely loved it. I don't think I will ever get my eyebrows waxed ever again! It took a quarter of the time to do, there was no mess from wax and creams, so tweezing needed to neated them up afterwards, and only cost me £5 compared to the £8 I usually pay.

I was so so impressed by it and they feel lovely and soft with no redness.

The pain, although different from waxing pain, was about the same, you did still feel it, but didn't hurt anymore than you would expect.

Hello lovelies!

Just a quick little blog post to let you all know I am back from the most amazing holiday in the world! We had a fabulous time, and I just wish I could be back there now! I don't have photos at the moment, but as soon as I have them I will pop some up and share my storie (if your interested)

It may be a bit disjointed for a while - my boyfriend is going through a bit of a hard time at the moment - I won't bore you with the details, but he needs me. Guest Post - Say Hello To Yellow With The Fashion Freak...

I have another fabulous guest post for you today. This time I have the lovely lady Claire from The Fashion Freak. I think Claires blog was one of the first ones that I started to follow, I still go back all the time to see whats new. She has done a great post about the recent yellow nail trend, which I have to say, I am a follower of myself!

Say hello to yellow

It's Summer 2011. BBQs, ice-cream and days on the beach spring to mind. But fashion-wise, when it came to thinking about my summer wardrobe, I thought colour-blocking, acid brights and sunshine. For me, this meant only one thing. Yellow!

But as I thought more about it, I realised that despite the colour’s summery feel, it’s not often you see a bright yellow bikini by the pool or a pale lemon dress whilst out for dinner. And really, I felt rather nervous at the thought of putting anything remotely yellow on my not-quite-summer-ready-body.

As much as I love Jil Sander, Lanvin and Marc by Marc Jacobs’ offerings on the catwalk this season, for me (and probably a lot of you too) it’s a little too well, yellow, for me.

But when I heard of the ‘yellow nails’ trend, I summoned up the courage to give it a go. Unfortunately my budget doesn’t stretch to the £17.50 Limited Edition Mimosa polish from Chanel so instead I headed to trusty Barry M and choose the shade ‘Lemon Icecream’. If Katy Perry and Rihanna could pull it off, so could I right?

And I have to say, I think I can. I might not be quite ready for Marc by Marc Jacobs’ sunshine yellow dress but I think yellow nails are fun. I’ll admit, I wasn’t too keen on full-on plain yellow so I added OPI’s Black Shatter to ease myself in but I think it makes it a bit more interesting.

So I don't want this to be a review yet - I want it to be kind of an 'update'. As it stands, I'm not all that into this product, but I really WANT to love it, so I'm going to continue using it a little longer. Everything on the packaging screams out for me to love it, but so far, I really can't see it making any difference. I've put it on on its own and it just kind of makes me shiney and greasy looking. I've mixed it with moisturiser, and it doesn't really make much difference, I've mixed it with my foundation, and again, not much difference. Maybe its me. Maybe I'm using it in the wrong way. Anyone got any tips? I want to love it I really really do. Usually at this point I would have given up on a product but I'm going to stick it out a little longer.

I want to end this on a positive note... it smells fabulous :)

I'm very excited to have my first guest post today! Ms Red, of Ms Reds Beauty Blog is one of my favourite bloggers. She is honest and up front, has a range of different posts, and is a great writer. But more importantly she is a very lovely lady!

There are so many mascaras coming out like this at the moment, I decided I needed to try one. With the likes of Mac bringing one out, drugstroe brands are picking up on it and bringing out their own cheaper version. I opted for the Rimmel Glam Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara, currently priced at £5.99 in Boots.

The idea is that it is one mascara that offers you two looks - one for longer more defined lashes, and the other to pump up the volume.

What do Rimmel have to say?

'Introducing Day-2-Night, Rimmel’s unbeatable new mascara that creates 2 dramatically different lash looks, all with 1 amazing new system. The secret is the magic double cap!

I wasn't wowwed by this product, but then again, I don't think I was really expecting to be. The mascara is good, I give it that, and for the price you can't really go wrong, but I'm not entirely sure it does what it says on the tin...

On the left eye I have the 'day' look of longer more defined lashes and on the right eye I have the 'night' look with more volume. Granted you can see a slight difference in the eyes, my right eye looking heavier with mascara and a little more dense, but I did this in the morning when first applying my make up, and went out all day, not worrying that my eyes may look odd. I don't really think the lashes on my left eye look particularly any longer, although it is less clumpy.

Nahh I'm still not seeing it. I like the idea of the mascara, and I can see how it kind of works, but not the the point where I could have two different mascaras on - just maybe that I have spent more time layering one set of lashes than I did another, which, lets face it, can be done with any mascara.

Having said all of this, I'm still going to stick with saying it is a good mascara and I have used it quite a lot since buying it. Just not really for what it is meant to be used for.

Holiday Packing...

So today is the long awaited day that I go on holiday for 2 WHOOLLEEE weeks! I've so so looking forward to this all year, and now that I have uni out of the way until september, I feel that I am definitely in need of a break.

I just thought I would share a few of the things I have packed.

Skincare

So I put my cleanser, toner and moisturiser into these stacking tubs (which have actually started leeking now so I've wrapped them up in tape. I've gone for quite light products as I won't be wearing much make up and I hate my face feeling clogged up when I'm in the sun.

I've also packed these 2 hand rubs, which were on discount in superdrug and smell a lot nice than your usually suspects!

We needed a lot of suncream as we are going for two weeks, so I decided to go for the Asda branded suncream. I remember watching something last year where they tried and tested lots of suncreams, and the Asda branded stuff came out top over a lot of higher end products. It was on offer in Asda at 2 for £5, which is an amazing bargain, so I stocked up on lots of it!

I also went for my favourite Vasaline Aloe Vera body lotion as an after sun - mostly because the smells reminds me of all the holidays I've been on and makes me smile (you know me and my smells)

Haircare

I've packed my Tigi Smoothing Lusterizer and my Lee Stafford Argan oil as the combernation of these two make my hair feel AMAZING! I must also say that since I have been using the Argan Oil, my hair is so much stonger meaning it has had the chance to grow a lot more. This product is definitely a keeper!

I packed my Aussie Leave in conditioner to help my hair recover from the sun, sea and swimming pool, as well as a few Aussie 3 minute miracle deep conditioners to slap on a couple of times. With my hair being bleached, it needs as much help in the sun as it can get at as it dries out so easily.

I was advised by my hairdresser to buy these products to take the chlorine out of my hair after a day in the pool (I am at high risk of getting green hair :() she says that although it doesn't work very well at conditioning hair, and another shampoo is needed, it works really well to get the chlorine out. I also got the mask to put on as a sort of leave in conitioner in the mornings to try and stop my hair from going green in the first place. I love going in the pool so I'd hate to not be able to just because of my hair.

Make up

I've packed 2 recent purchase that I have been so impressed with - the Max Factor Smooth Effect foundation and the Bourjois Chocolate bronzer. I think the combernation of these two, a bit of mascara and a bit of lip gloss will be all I will be wearing some evenings - I'm all for a lot less is more on holiday.

Heres a slection of the bronzers and blushers I have packed, as well as my Ruby & Millie Illuminating cream and my Collection 2000 Concealer.

I have packed my max factor mascara, Benefit Bright Eye and Collection 2000 Felt tip eske eyeliner for easy eyes, a couple of lipglosses and lipsticks, as well as, of course, the Naked Palette.

Heres hoping the boys got some room for my stuff in his case as well...

Max Factor New Smooth Effect Foundation Review...

Max Factor Smooth Effect Foundation

So I bought this foundation as I have seen lots of adverts for it recently in magazines, and as I was browsing around superdrug, I saw that it had an introductory price of £5.99 rather than £7.99, so it seemed the perfect time to buy it.

What do Max Factor say about their new foundation?

'Did you know that the make-up artist secret to create a perfect colour make-up look is a flawless foundation look? The smoother the canvas, the better the colour results. Introducing new Smooth Effect Foundation from Max Factor. It gives you a smooth, even finish – the perfect canvas for a great make-up look!'

I would say this foundation had a light to medium coverage. I usually prefer more of a full coverage, but this one seems to make my skin so flawless, and yet I feel like I have nothing on my face at all. It blends in with my stippling brush like a DREAM, literally as if it is melting into nothing in your skin, and you only need a tiny bit to cover your whole face. It completely smooths out my face, and makes it feel lovely. I would probably go as far to describe this as a foundation and a primer in one, although I would still advise wearing a primer underneath to make your make up stick all day.

I wasn't expecting to be impressed with this foundation really at all, as Max Factor foundations have never been a favourite, but this one is a must in my holiday make up bag, due to how light it feels, but the fabulous coverage it gives.

I haven't done one of these in a while!

Just popped to the shop to get a bit of food, and woooopps I ended up in Superdrug! I just want to apologies at this point for the lack of pound signs in this post - I am on my housemates american laptop right now and she doesn't have a pound sign on it!

So I'm going on holiday in just over a week (eeeek) and I realised just how many bottles I have and how small my weight limit is for my case, so I felt like these bottles would be really useful. They were 2 for 1.99 which I didn't think was too bad.

I had a look at the new VO5 collection and grabbed the Instant Oomph Powder and the Ultimate Hold Hairspray. I didn't particularly need either of them, as I have got plenty of hairspray and I have the Got2be Volume Powder, but I had heard so many good things about this range and they were such a good bargain in Superdrug it was hard to say no. Everything in the range was 2 for 4.49, when I think both of these RRP at around the 4 mark.

I FINALLY got the Bourjois Chocolate bronzer for 6.99, which I cant wait to try out, and I'm excited about the new Max Factor Smooth Effect Foundation for 5.99, instead of 7.99.

I love these Collection 2000 nail varnishes, I have a few other colours, and I love how wide the brush is on them. It makes it so easy to apply. I got the colours Big Hair, Lemon Soda and Mint Mojo. There were 1.79 each.

And lastly, I got these hand gels as they were on offer for 49p. I usually hate the smell of them, so I'm hoping these two may be abit better.

Eeeeee I love a good shop!

So I have been really looking forward to today, as it is my first full day I have had to myself all week, and I was planning on putting some posts together for the next week. But someone out there doesn't want this to happen today!

First up I forget to bring my camera to my Mums with me, so I have taken all the pictures I need on my Blackberry...

... which my boyfriend then goes and sits on yesterday, cracking the screen and breaking the phone. All I can see is white with a big black smudge in the middle...

... I am then told by the phone fixing man that it will cost £170 to fix. I have an upgrade due in 3 or 4 months so its just not worth the money. They boy buys me a cheap, very unusual looking phone to keep me happy until then...

... which I would show you a picture of but blogger won't let me upload pictures right now...

... which isn't much of an issue anyway as I can't get the pictures that I took off my blackberry (aswell as all my contacts), and don't have my camera here to retake them...

... blogger is also having issues letting me comment on other peoples posts...

... which isn't much of an issue as I can communicate through twitter...

... but only on my laptop as the app on my new cheap phone for twitter doesn't seem to be working...

... And in half an hour I have to work, so all my readers are going to get out of me today is this stupid post :(

I am now going to go back to bed and feel sorry for myself some more before going to work.

Geordie/Jersey Shore inspired FOTD

So most of you have probably if not seen, heard about the new MTV show Geordie Shore, the Newcastle take on the addictively good Jersey Shore.

I used to live in newcastle myself, so I love watching it and it really makes me giggle.

I decided to have a little play about and do my own Geordie Shore look, aaandd this is what I came up with. I was a little disappointed as I am at my parents house at the moment, so didn't have all my make up to hand to play with, but I made the best of what I have.

The look is quite simple really - big, black, over the top make up - and lots of it!

Clumber Park Hotel and Spa...

I have just had the most fabulous weekend with the boy at Clumber Park Hotel and Spa.

My lovely Mum and Dad bought me a Spa package there for us for my birthday. I've never really been on a Spa break before, so I was really excited.

The Clumber Park Hotel is hidden in Robin Hood country in Nottingham. Included in the deal was two treatments each, a nights stay as well as full use of the spa and gym facilities.

We both opted for head and shoulder massages, and back massages, which were amazing, and we spent the majority of our stay messing around in the pool area, in the out door jacuzzi, and the steam room and sauna. We had a bit of a session in the gym, much to the boys delight, although I have to say I did more messing than working out!

We had a fabulous meal in the evening, in the lovely relaxed restaurant, and the breakfast was ah-maze-ing.

We had such a good break. The staff were so so friendly, the food was yummy and the rooms were lovely.

The only thing that did put a bit of a downer on the weekend was after I chose to get my eyebrows waxed just as we we're about to leave to go home - it burnt my face and has left nasty scabs just below my eyebrows :( it didn't ruin my weekend at all, and I'm sure they will clear up in no time at all. I've had my eyebrows waxed so so much and this has never happened to me, I have to admit, it has put me off a little bit.

All in all it was a perfect weekend with a perfect boy!

Back in my Day...

So I'm 21. I'm young, I've got the whole world at my feet, no commitments, free as a bird, no responsibilities. So it scared the life out of me last week when the words 'when I was that age' slipped out. Everyone will have the realisation that they are no longer as young as they think they are, so I'm sure a lot of you can imagine my sheer horror, but 21?! Really?! Should I not still BE that person that people are tutting over (although I still probably am).

I was reminded of this comment this morning while reading Makeup Majesty's lastest post on Justin Beibers new fragrance... for the ladies.

You can see all the pre teens running to the shop now, in the hope that buying this perfume will mean that 'Someday' that will be that blonde behind him, that no doubt has nearly 10 years on them. When I was that 8, 9, 10, 11, I was still stealing my mums perfume from her cupboard, not saving my £2 a week to buy my own.

Willow Smith

Another example is Willow Smith. I new this girl was young, and I'm always shocked when I see pictures of her, or watch her performing, but until I was researching for this post, I didn't realise HOW young she was. 10. 10 YEARS OLD!? And its obvious from the picture above that she already has her popstar pout down to a tee.

Is it really healthy for young people to have role models, who are the same age, if not younger than them? Is it really right to make the younger generation think that looking like the likes of Willow Smith is normal?

Look at the track record of young stars - Britney being a prime example - is this really what we want our youngsters to be watching and looking up to?

Don't get me wrong, I was no angel in my teenage years. But as time goes on, children seem to be growing up a lot younger a lot quicker. And I for one find this very scary.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer

Collection 2000 has never been a brand that I instantly turn to when I pop to Boots. I always think of it as a brand made for a younger audience, who are just starting out with make up. But recently I have heard about so many products of theirs that I really want to try. One of them is the new cream lip products that they are bringing out next month, and another is the lasting perfection foundation that goes with this concealer. I was going to go for both last week when I bought this, as they are so cheap, but I've bought so many foundations recently, that I really want to get to the bottom of a few pots before I start buying more.

I am, however, in desperate need for a new concealer, and having seen so many good reviews, I went for this one.

I got it from superdrug for £4.99, which I didn't think was too bad anyway, but having tried it out, it is amazing value for money.

The applicatior is as standard, nothing much to talk about there really! The concealer itself is quite thick, but blends and smooths on so well, not cakey at all. I do think that if too much is used however, it may look too much, but if you take it easy, its a dream to apply. It is amazing for under my eyes - I would say better than my Benefit Lemon Aid, as well as being fabulous for any blemishes that I may have.

I am so so so happy with this concealer, and it has really changed my opinion of Collection 2000. I can't wait to try out the others things on my wishlist - and maybe a few more too ;)

Monday Summery...

Today is officially the first day of my summer - yeyy!

I finished my exams on friday. I'm not going to lie, they were awful. I had 5 on friday, one after the other after the other after the other, no break, no chance to breath, being escorted by my tutor from one room to another. The work wasn't that bad, but the it was so intense, by the end of it, I had to sit in a dark room for a couple of hours!

I did, however, celebrate in style on friday night (getting in at half 7 in the morning, ouch).

I spent saturday with the boy, which was really nice, just sat doing nothing with him but eating ice cream and watching films, and not having to feel guilty about not doing my work.

I think that the past two days have been quite productive - working, making appointments that needed to be done, sorting all my emails, and signing up to the gym - ergh! The boy is all into that kind of thing, he goes to the gym religiously everyday, so he has said he will help me out with a programme and help motivate me. Once I'm at the gym, I love it. Getting me there however, is a different matter.

I applied for a job working for a local wedding planner in my area. It would be great if I got the job, as it would be fabulous experience for me, what with me studying events management and all that.

I also took my godson to soft play, which I think I may have enjoyed more than he did, but it didn't half tire me out! He is the cutest little boy I have ever met, and I had such a good afternoon with him.

I have been enjoying the weekly twitter Bbloggers chats that Fee at Makeup Savvy. I unfortunately work on a sunday evening, so I can't take part in the which is a bit annoying, but I love reading through all the comments and posts that there are.

I have been enjoying Ms Reds Beauty Blog recently. It has a really great mix of things on there, pop over when you get time to have a peek. Shes a very lovely lady as well, so if you get chance to have a chat with her on twitter, do :)

Going away with the boy for a spa weekend, can't wait to spend some quality time with him.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation Review...

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

Ok so I caved in. Some of you may have read that I have been umming and arring over this foundation for ages now. So when I saw it in Tesco on offer the other day, I grabbed it. And it really didn't disappoint.

What do Bourjois say?

'Get 70% more radiance for up to 16hours. A flawless, luminous complexion for up to 16hrs. Fruit therapy for radiant boosted skin. Anti-dull complexion range'

So the thinking behind this foundation is the 'fruit therapy' behind it. They say that the ingredients include apricot for radiance, melon for hydration, apple as an antioxidant and ginger for energy.

So those of you that I have read my blog for a while will understand how important the smell of a product is to me. This smells Ah-Mazing-Ing. Its a really fruity smell in the bottle, but not so strong that you get a whiff of it all day.

The foundation itself is really really lovely. It feels quite light weight on the skin, blends really easily, and leaves a lovely dewy finish. It reminds me a lot of my favourite foundation, Maybelline Satin Finish, but I would say that the Maybelline has more of a fuller coverage, but this doesn't particularly make it better or worse for me.

The only thing I would say, which was the only reason why I haven't bought the Healthy Mix before now, is that I found all the shades were slightly too yellow for me. The Maybelline Satin Finish is the perfect colour for me, and I just didn't find this in the Bourjois range. I'm not sure whether this is the same for all of the foundation that Bourjois do, as I haven't used any others.

On the whole this is a great foundation, and one that I will definitely be using when I want more of a sheer foundation, especially through these summer months. The colour is not so yellow that I look silly, but it isn't as good a match as the Maybelline Satin Finish. Having said that, it would say that the Bourjois probably blends better than the Satin Finish, and the smell is definitely a winner for me.

The usual price for this is £9.99, but I think the offers is still on in Tesco Stores for £6.99.

Targets for a fabulous summer...

We Heart It

So today is the day of my last exam of uni for the year. After this I have just one year left until I am let loose into the outside world. Eeeek!

I'm not going to lie, this is a scheduled post - I will no doubt currently (and hopefully) be celebrating finishing for the year in style, probably being carried from one pub to the other, before crawling into bed fully clothed with a false eye lash stuck to my face.

I always feel as though I don't make the most of my summer. I either waste it away saying I'll do something tomorrow and it never gets done, or I find that I'm working every hour that god sends to see me through my next year of uni, that I miss out on catching up with all my favourite people.

This year I really don't want this to happen. I've decided that, in order to focus my mind on what I want to do and what I want to get out of this summer, to set myself some targets.

Its all very well setting targets for myself, but what is going to make me fulfil them? I thought that by putting them on here, I'm sort of commiting myself to my readers and followers. I've also decided that I will do a monday round up of everything that I have been up to in that week. That gives me the opportunity to not only add another series to my blog in a style that I have never really tried before, but it also means that I will hopefully have a fabulous summer with lots of memories.

So what are my targets?

To get a second part time job

Although I said that I don't want to spend the whole of my summer working as much as I can, I do have to bare in mind that I do have another year of uni to pay for, and lets face it, to have a good time I need mulla! I do already have a part time job in a bar, where I have been given extrra hours for the summer, and I have also applied for a couple of others, so hopefully something will come of them

To catch up with old friends

So many of my friends are at university now or have full time jobs, that I find that I only see a couple of them on a regular basis now. Although, if I'm honest, I'm quite happy to see the back of some people I went to school with, it does make me said that I have completely lost touch with others.

To spend some quality time with the boy

The past year has been a hard year with the boy to say the least. The pressure of living away from each other, my study and his full time job has definitely put a strain on me. I still enjoy and love every minute I got to spend with him, but I have definitely felt a negative effect for not seeing him more than I have. This summer I really want to make the most of having me and him time alone. I love that boy more than I could ever tell you - we need to make the most of it while we can

To volunteer

Although I have done some volunteering this year while at uni, I haven't given as much time as I wanted to due to all the work I have had. I love volunteering, and having worked for a children's charity for a year myself, I understand how much volunteers are needed.

To spend lots of time on my blog

I want to really want to put some quality time and effort into my blog this summer, including weekly updates, new series and to carry on with some good quality posts.

To lead a healthier lifestyle

Not only do I want to concentrate on my diet, but I want to improve my lifestyle all around - for example going to bed earlier, getting up earlier, walking everywhere rather than driving, etc. I have an important year at uni coming up, and I want to start it with a healthy body and healthy, fresh mind.

To travel

Aswell as going on holiday with they boy (only a month to go eeek) I want to book some other holidays to try and see more of what the world has to offer. I'm not just talking holidays abroad, I want to go on day trips in my area, camping weekends away, a couple of days in a new city, anywhere and everywhere.

So there it is. My list of targets - rather longer than I thought it would be! Hopefully I will be able to fit all of this in!

NOTD Barry M Coral...

Whenever summer comes around (well I say summer, whats been going on the past few days with the rain?!) I always love to get my muched loved and well used Barry M Nail paints out. my last NOTD was the lovely lilac colour, and today I'm sporting the very different, very bright coral colour. Neither of the photos above (the top one taken with a flash and the bottom one in natural light) show it for its true colour, they are a lot more coral and less pink than they are in the pictures.

There will probably be more NOTD's coming up - I'm digging out my collection and trying them all out again to decided what I want to take on holiday.

I'm also considering buying the UV top coat and UV light that Gems Maquillage talks about in her videos, has anyone else tried this? What did you think? Would you say it was worth a try?

I'm a huge lover of the original False Lash Effect, I couldn't tell you how many tubes I have gone through, so I was really keen to try the latest version of it.

So I've got eyeliner on in this picture, but obviously no mascara.

To be honest, when I first applied it, I couldn't really tell the difference between this one and the original, but during the day, I noticed that my eyelashes were definitely longer than what they would usually be. I had the same effect as when I curl my eyelashes, but curlers had not been anywhere near my eyes all day.

I also felt that this mascara left my eyelashes more defined, yet still full of volume, unlike the other one that brought volume by the boat load, but could be a little clumpy at times.

The usual price of this mascara is £12.99, but I think it is on offer for £8.99 in both Boots and Superdrug at the moment.

Although the difference between the two mascaras is not massive, it is definitely there, and this one pips the other one to the post bringing both volume and length.

Mac Surf Baby! My Paradise Cheek Powder...

Last week I got my lovely new MAC Purchase from the Surf Baby! Collection.

I went for the Cheek Powder in My Paradise.

On first inspection, I wasnt impressed with the packaging, but having got used to it now, I quite like it. The white casing has a slight sparkle to it, which is a bit different, and nice and summery.

The product itself looks beautiful, far to good to be touched! It has a lovely matte coral pink colour, and a bronze-green shimmer in the shape of a flower, just lovely.

When seperated, the bronze green shimmer is nothing more than that, and the matte coral colour is pretty, but nothing to shout about.

But mixed together, it really is a gorgeous colour, and something that I've not got or seen before I don't think. The coral pink colour is perfectly complimented by the shimmer. It looks a lot more green in the flesh, and although it looks a bit scary in the pan, its really not scary at all, its a really lovely subtle shimmer.

I think this would be perfect for a day when you don't want to wear a lot of make up, and you just want to look really natural and glowing - I guess fitting into the Surf Baby! theme really well. I really love it, and will definitely be making the most of it if the sun shine ever decides to make an appearance again!

I got this for £19 from the Mac website, and I believe that it sold out in a lot of places now, but keep your eyes open as I may be wrong.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat Review...

We have a lovely shop in York called Zest that sells discounted perfume and beauty products. I'm often found in there looking for a bargain, and the other day I came across this Sally Hansen topcoat for just £2.50 - I think its currently also available in Boots for £6.08. As well as that, I also got a free clear Insta-Dri Colour with it aswell, so all in all, rather a good bargain. The topcoat worked really well - drying my nail varnish in just 30 seconds as it promises on the packet. I tend to do my nails just before bed, so I often end up with smudged, matted nails from where they have stuck to the sheets, but after using this, I woke up with lovely, glossy nails. I don't know whether my nail varnish lasted any longer than it would usually really - probably about the same, but I was really impressed with the speed of drying.

Lee Stafford Argan Oil

A couple of weeks ago you may recall me doing a review on the Milk_Shake Glistening Argan Oil that I got in my local salon.

While browsing in Boots just after doing the review, I decided to buy the Lee Stafford Argan Oil for £11.99 for 50ml. I figured that it was slightly cheaper than the Milk_Shake Argan Oil and would be easier to get my hands on as and when I needed it. Added to this, over the past few months I have become obsessed with buying and trying out new haircare products to make sure my hair is in top condition for the summer, and it was something I had been eyeing up to try for quite a long time.

What does Lee Stafford have to say?

'Lee Stafford Argan Oil is a light weight oil treatment for all hair types, the morrocan oil will enrich and nurture natural shine for the smoothest, silkiest, healthiest hair yet.'

I have to say, I am in love with this product.

I thought the Milk_Shake Oil was good, but I think this one has pipped it to the post. It makes my hair so so soft and shiney, I can't stop feeling my hair, and I've had so many compliments.

It doesn't leave anything in my hair what so ever, doesn't make it go greasey any quicker, and it halves the time of drying my hair.

It smells amazing (you know how much I like a good smell), a really soft smell thats not too strong but lasts in the hair until the next time its washed.

I really love this product, and since buying it, I have completely forgotten about my salon bought Milk_Shake Oil. It really does feel like it is doing my bleached hair a lot of goos, and it will most certainly be a staple in my holiday bag!

Have you tried any hair oils that you would recommend to me?

BaByliss Curling Wand...

Hey!

Just wanted to do a quick little post to tell you how much I LOVE my new BaByliss Curling Wand.

Its not the best picture of me in the world, but its the best I could get in the car at the time. This was yesterday morning and the first time I had used my new Curling Wand (I got it from eBay for a bargain price of £15 new after I had seen Gemma talking about them lots) and was already impressed with them. My hair is so thick and so so straight naturally, that no tongs or straighteners that I have tried have ever curled my hair as successfully as this did.

The best bit is still to come - it lasted like this ALL DAY! A full days shopping followed by work until 11.30pm, and all I needed to tweek were the pins holding my fringe up.

There are so good that my hair was still fairly tidy when I woke up this morning having not washed or brushed the curls out.

But oh no, thats still not the best bit...

I USED NO HAIRSPRAY. NOT ONE BIT. I curled my hair, pinned and left the house.

Ah-maze-ing.

Enough said.

Milk_Shake Glistening Argan Oil

I bought this a couple of months ago in my local salon. I went in with the intention of getting some Moroccan Oil, as my housemate raves about it so much. After a bit of a chat, Debbie, my hairdresser brought this Milk_Shake Glistening Argan Oil to my attention, explaining that they had been trialing both this one and the Moroccan Oil in the salon, and this one had proved to be the most popular of the two. I bought a sample 10ml pot for £3.99, with the 50ml bottles retailing at approximately £16.

The idea is to massage a tiny drop, about the size of a smartie, into damp washed hair from scalp to tip. Milk_Shake say that this conditioning treatment leaves the hair smooth, silky and conditioned with an 'amazing shine'.

The smell of the oil is just amazing. It's a very gentle, subtle smell, almost like that of baby bath products.

When applying it to my hair, especially as I have such thick hair, it felt like it wasn't going anywhere or making any difference. This feeling continued as I brushed it through my hair, as it didn't give that instant softness that you sometimes get from condition treatments, or hair serums.

I first noticed the difference it made when the blow drying time of my hair was reduced significantly. As I was drying it, it seemed to become softer and extremely shiny.

After being styled, my hair felt lovely and really conditioned, but not to the point where it felt like it had left an artificial film over my hair. It feels really natural and fresh, and still very manageable.

I really love this hair product, I really feel like it is doing my hair some good, rather than being gimicky and a one hit wonder. I'm amazed at how long my little tub has lasted me, and how much difference a little tiny drop of it makes. I try not to use it all the time, and I've found that once a week is enough to keep my hair looking and feeling fabulous.

Have any of you tried the Moroccan Oil? Would you recommend I try it?

We Heat It

It has just started to hit me, that no matter how hard I try, my boyfriend and my best friend are never going to get on fabulously well. They are ok with each other, which I appriciate, but they will never be the best of chums.

It used to really really upset me that they didn't get on. How was it possible that the two people I love most in the world cannot love each other? I used to hate bringing up either of them in the other ones company, incase it caused a snide comment, or another story about what that person has done wrong.

But recently, as I have started to realise they will never see eye to eye, I've also grown a new attitude towards the entire situation. BALLS TO THEM BOTH!

Tasha is my best friend, my other half, my bumcheek and there is nothing that Russell can do about it.

Russell is the most amazing boy I have ever met, and I really do hope I am with him for a very long time, and Tasha will just have to lump it.

Because at the end of the day I LOVE THEM BOTH MORE THAN LIFE ITSELF, and that's all that matters to me.

If the only thing they have in common is me, then I am HAPPY.

So this one's for you two.

I know you don't love each other.

But I don't care.

I love you.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation Review...

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

I was advised by my best friend Tasha to try this foundation. I've looked at it a couple of times, but I have been really reluctant to try it. I think it might be the idea of having something on my skin for 25 hours. But it was on offer in Boots for £4.99, Tasha had been going on about how good it was, and I guess really its never going to be on my skin for 25 hours unless I let it - and any other foundation that claims to be long lasting I jump on like theres no tomorrow. I originally went into boots to get the Bourjois Healthy Mix that everyone seems to be raving about, but I found that the shades were all very yellow, and I couldn't really find one that was even close to matching me. Anyone else had this problem?

Anyway on with the review! What do Rimmel Say?

'Want a foundation that lasts as long as you do? Giving a smooth lightweight coverage, Lasting Finish 25 Hour foundation leaves skin feeling hydrated all day. The transfer proof and fade proof formula means your foundation now lasts up to 25 hours, for a day that never stops.'

I like the look of the packaging - tall and sleek with the always handy pump to despense the foundation.

I got this in Ivory. The colour match is really good, I'm realy impressed with it.

The formula of the foundation is very dry. It needs to be blended pretty quickly after applying it, before it dries and does not budge. It can be pretty hard to get used to at first, but once you've got it, its really good as it really doesn't budge. It leaves a lovely smooth, flawless finish, and lasts all day. I'd say that by late afternoon I could occassionally do with a few touch ups around my chin and nose, but that's it. Whether it lasts 25 hours is another story, and not really something I'm interested in finding out, but it definitely has the staying power that I require.

On the whole this is a really good foundation, and, although it may be a little dry for me, I have been really happy with it. It hasn't beaten my favourite Maybelline Foundation, but it has put up a good fight.

It would be interesting to know how this compares to the Revlon ColourStay Foundation, which is the next budget foundation on my list, as it would be a great, cheaper alternative.

Ombre Nails LC Style...

Hey :)

So quite a lot of you have been blogging away about Lauren Conrads new blog style website, The Beauty Department which promises to update and give hints, tricks and tutorials about everything beauty.

I have to say - I love it! I have a major girl-crush on LC, and I love her effortless style.

The website design is really fresh, clean and sleek looking, and from what I can gather from the first few posts on there, it is going to be a firm favourite of mine.

One post that caught my eye was on Ombre Nails.

I really like the effect of this look, and will definitely be something I will be trying out. It would look great going from a nudey pink colour, to a really vibrant red for an evening, or a selection of pinks for a day time, girly look. I think I might try it, if I have enough of a colour range, with yellows, going from a really creamy lemon, to a bight yellow.

I'll let you know how it goes when I sort out all my colour groups :)

Ruby and Millie + Barry M Haul

Hey!

As most of you will now know, Ruby and Millie are discontinuing their make up line. I popped into boots the other day to make a dent in all the vouchers I was given for my birthday, and I noticed that they had a stand with ALL Ruby and Millie products for £2.50. I headed straight over to see what I could pick up, and got a few little things.

I used to use one of their foundations, so was hoping that I could grab a couple of those (as they are usually £16) but they unfortunately didn't have my shade.

When I got to the till to pay for everything, it turned out that all the products had been reduced AGAIN to £1.25, so I literally turned back around to grab some more things!

Apart from the foundation I mentioned above, I have never really used much Ruby and Millie, but for the price, I couldn't really go wrong!

On the subject of the Face and Body Meta, it left me rather puzzled, and I was hoping that one of you would be able to help me. As I have said, I have never really used Ruby and Millie products, so I didn't really know what to expect. I bought this sealed, got it home and opened it to have a look -

The product seems so empty and almost as if it has already been used. I know this is very unlikely as it was sealed, but it is quite a big pot to have such a little amount of product in, and considering it is a face and body product, I expected there to be a little bit more. Either that or at least a smaller pot so that the product didn't get lost in it. Is this normal?

Anyway apart from that, I was really happy to get all of these products for £6.25 instead of £54!

The last thing I got was a bit of a change for me.

I never EVER where lipstick EVER, but I love the idea of wearing it, so I decided to push the boat out and get this Barry M one for £4.99 in shade 146. The colour is hardly backwards in coming forwards, so it is going to be a bit of a shock change for me to wear it, but the weather has inspired me to get a bit experimental with colour. I love it!

Once I have had chance to have a play with everything, I will let you know what I think.

Nailease - The Instant Manicure Review...

A couple of months ago Big Fashionista posted a Nailease Review (click here to see the hilarious review) and every since then I have been dying to get my hands on a pack to try out.

So the pack promises that this is the instant manicure for girls on the go, perfect shiny nails, zero drying time and no smudges. sounds too good to be true right? So whats the catch?

The truth is, if there is a catch, I really cannot find it.

I went for a black with white spots pattern from Boots for £5.99.

Included in the pack are 20 nail strips, a nail buffer and a cuticle stick.

The pack goes through the 5 simple steps to take to getting lovely glossy nails.

1. Select the size that fits your nail

2. Gently remove clear film from top of the nail sticker then gently remove the clear film from bottom of the nail sticker holding the silver strip.

3. Hold the nail sticker by the silver strip and place the rounded side at nail base sticky side down. Note you can gentle pull off and reposition without damaging the strip.

4. Firmly smooth the nail surface until wrinkle free. Note you can gentle stretch vertically and horizontally for a wrinkle free surface.

5. Fold the excess of the nail strip under the nail. Then gently file of the excess in a downward motion.

So having read the instructions, I was worried. In my experience, when something sounds so simple, its never going to be as easy as expected.

So I thought peeling off the clear film from the nail stickers would be my first issue. I HATE peeling off the film of double sided tape, and it always takes me ages. But it was great when they came off almost on their own, really easily.

So far so good.

The next issue would be positioning it on my nail. I assumed that I had to get it right straight away, because even if I could peel it off and reposition if I went wrong, it would never sit right. Wrong again. The stickers are fairly ridget so the ends don't curl round and stick to itself, making it a really un-fiddly job, and if the positioning was slightly wrong, it was really easy to replace it.

So the main problem would definitely be when smoothing the surface of the nail out. It was going to have a rubbish finish by becoming all wrinkly and bumpy. Nope. all of the nails smoothed out perfectly, no ridges or kinks, just perfectly glossy nails.

Having cut and filed off the excess strips, I ended up with these beauties.

I really can't get over just how easy it was to apply these nails. And they look so good too!

The range of sizes available in the nail stickers is great and will fit most hands.

There is a limited range available from boots for £5.99, but if you head over to the website, they have a larger range available, patterned, coloured and french manicure, for the same price.

I will certainly be using these regularly. I will be stocking up to take them on holiday to do around the pool. Really. That's how easy they are.

I love these, and really want EVERYONE to try them! Go on. Do it.

My Birthday Week...

Last week was my BIRTHDAY!

I hate saying that I'm old, because I know I'm not, but I turned 21, and, to be honest, it freaked me out a bit!

I've had the most amazing week, so I just wanted to share some pictures with you that summerise it all.

So the weekend before my birthday, the lovely boy took me away to Northumberland. He told me that we were going camping a couple of months ago, but it turned out that he had booked us into the MOTHER of all B&B's - it was like a castle in the middle of nowhere, absolutely beautiful. We spent the weekend pottering around the local area, going to the beach, and just generally having a fabulous time together.

I really did have a perfect weekend, and it was so lovely to get to spend some quality time with the boy.

My actual birthday was on wednesday, and it was a really sunny day, so me and my housemates spent they day outside in the courtyard having a BBQ.

The boy made me the most beautiful cake in the world.

In the evening we hired a private karaoke booth for the night - we literally couldn't get the boys off it!

I was a very lucky girl when it came to presents from my housemates! They bought me some Appy Feet Vouchers (definite reviews to come!) a massage voucher, some tanning vouchers and lots of Soap and Glory Goodies (they know me too well). They then informed me that they were planning on getting me a Vajazzle - but couldn't find anywhere in Leeds that would do it (thank the lord!)

On thursday, friends from my hometown came for a night out, and treated me to a personalised bottle of champagne from Selfridges, some Nars blush and a trip on the London eye :)

On saturday, I went back to my hometown to visit my family. They all surprised me with a lovely meal (I thought I was going to pick up a take away, so went in what might as well have been my slippers!)

The boy made me ANOTHER cake!

And I was treated to some lovely Pandora Charms, a Creme Brulee set (my favourite!) vouchers, some lovely gifts from my Mum and Dads recent trip to Malta, a handbag and a weekend spa break! Eeeeek I'm getting excited just writing about it!

I had THE most AMAZING week, and I really can't believe how lucky I am to have the friends and family that I do. They all spoilt me rotten, and I love them all so so much!

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment - Nearly 2 Months On...

Hey Lovelies

So I just wanted to give you an update after nearly 2 months of using the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment.

I have kind of developed a love/hate relationship with this product. If I'm having a good day, I've woken up on time, I've got plenty of time to have a really good hair day, styling well, getting my barnet looking lovely then this product is so fabulous and really makes your hair feel beautifully conditioned, sleek and smooth. However if the morning isn't going quite so well, and its a simple wash and blast dry day, to be the product is wasted, and in some respects kind of makes the situation worse and my hair seems to be really elastic and stringy. On days like this, I now tend to not use it, which I know probably defeats to whole purpose of the product, but if I can't see and feel a difference, I feel like I am wasting my money. When I am having a good day however, I truely have never felt my hair in a better condition.

Have I seen a visable difference in length? The short answer is no. I know that my hair grows, due to my roots (ergh) by most of my problem lies further down my hair. Due to the fact I bleach my har (I hate saying that out loud) my hair tends to snap at the ends. Although I haven't seen any evidence of it growing, I have had a lot LOT less fall out which I love, and my hair does feel stronger. I'm not stupid, and it would be silly of me to expect this to work amazingly after everything I put my hair through, so I am willing to sit it out and wait to see if, in the long run, it really does help. I have tried to stop straightening my hair (mostly helped by my GHD's been misplaced somewhere between Leeds, Sheffield and York) and I try and leave my hair to dry naturally when I can, so fingers and toes crossed, I'm on the right road!

On the whole this is a GOOD Hair treatment, and I will continue to buy it, and I do recommend it if you have similar problems to me. I would say if you are wanting something similar to a deep conditioner, this isn't the one for you, but if your hair falls out in clumps and you are willing to put the time and effort in to help it along, it is well worth it.

Gosh Primer Review...

Gosh Velvet Touch Primer

Oh hello!

About a month ago I was sent these two Gosh Velvet Touch Foundation Primers to try out and review, one being the original and one being the cream. They both come in 30ml bottles, and in my opinion, as is the same with all Gosh products, I think they look really good, sleek and of a good quality for a drugstore item. Having said that, at £12.99 a pop, I would say that it was very much on the high end of drugstore products, but still not overly expensive.

What do Gosh have to say?

'Gosh Velvet Touch Foundation Primer is a perfect base for all makeup. It fills in fine lines and deep pores in the skin, creating a uniform, matt and silky soft surface, enabling the easy and smooth application of foundation.
The primer can be used after daily moisturiser or on clean skin. The formula is perfume and preservative free.'

If I am being perfectly honest, I have never been a big face primer user. When I have used them in the past, I've never really noticed any difference in the amount of time that my make up stayed on, which I thought was the main aim of a primer. I really wanted to give these primers a really good go, so have been using them every day religiously since I was sent them, and I can not believe how wrong I was. I don't think I could go a day without wearing this - there was an occasion last week where I had applied all make up, realised I had forgotten to put my primer on, so I took all of my make up off and started again.

The primer is amazing to apply. The original is so soft and velvety - almost to the point where you can't feel it. It feels so lovely on the skin. The cream version is quite a different consistancy, although has the same results as the original. If any of you have ever used the Soap and Glory Bright Here Bright Now, I would say that it is pf a similar consistancy to that - almost like quite a thick moisturiser, but too heavy to be a moisturiser. Both are equally as lovely as the other, but quite different at the same time.

Not only have I noticed a big improvement with my make up staying put all day long when I wear this, but I have also noticed other huge benefits. It makes applying my make up so much nicer and easier - it seems to go on smoother and blends really well. It glosses over any dry patches I may have and stops my foundation to caking up. It hides my pores, giving my skin a smoother finish. I love love love it and I am a total convert to this primer.

I would say that despite the higher price range for a drugstore product, this primer is well and truley worth it. It has opened my eyes to the world of primers, and they have both become a staple part of my make up routine. I am really keen to try out other primers now, but I have a funny feeling that I will be reaching for these bottles again and again.

I really like the look of the product itself. The black and silver make it look really sleek and not just like your average hair spray. It has a lovely smell when spraying that completely disappears when its in my hair which I love - theres nothing worse than the whiff of hairspray all day.

I'm not sure how I feel about the description on the back of the bottle. Your going to think I am being so so picky and stupid, and of course it doesn't effect the product itself, but it still kind of bugs me. I hate it when brands try to be really informal on the back of their products and fail. An example of it working would be on the Lee Stafford products. The descriptions are always informal, simple and not full of technical jargon - 'For Hair that doesn't grow past a certain length' but it seems to work - don't ask me why or how! But for me personally, it just doesn't seem to work as well on this... I know I'm being fussy, and your probably all think I'm a nutter, so I'm just going to shut up about it now!

Soooo onto the product itself.

I'm not really sure what I was expecting from it, but I would say I was looking to be really impressed by it - anddddd I have to say, at the moment, I'm pretty much on the fence. After spraying a 'Jujjing' it does have a soft backcombed effect - probably not as much as I would like, but for during the day, it has a nice hold. It's really soft, and doesn't make my hair stiff or stick which I love, but it doesn't hold for long and I do have to respray anf 'Jujj' quite often.

I suppose at the end of the day, it does what it says on the tin, but it hasn't blown me away, I was expecting a lot bigger hair with a lot stronger hold. I will carry on using this, but my quest of big hair continues!

The ELF Stippling Brush Review...

Hey lovelies!

I'm just on the train to sheffield and I've never really tried blogging on my phone before, but seen as this is the first time I've had chance to sit down in the past week and have a little time to myself, I thought I would give it a go and see hoe I feel. I usually hate writting big long essays on my bb, but I'm really in the mood to do a post. So anyway stop babbling!

I bought 3 elf brushes about a month ago while taking advantage of the free delivery they have. I love so much of thw stuff from ELF, and I could order a new thing everyday, so I tend to make a mental note of everything I want and then order them when they have some kind of offer. I've been wanting the stippling brush for ages but it was never available when I look, so as soon as I saw it I grabbed it with both hands and wouldn't let go!

I am in LOVE with this brush.

I've never used a stippling brush before, so I don't know how it compares to the likes of Mac, but I have never ever experienced such a lovely brush to apply my foundation. It applies a perfectly even layer over my skin, not too much but not too little, and really really does make my skin look flawless. I have been using it with the same foundations I always use, both budget and more higher end, and it really does make a huge difference using this brush to my usual MAC brush. At £3.50 it is such an amazing brush - I would pay 5 times this much for it! Amazing amazing - I can't get this over to you enough!

I also bought the powder brush that everyone raves about, and I have to say I can see why. I have been using this for cream blush, and it applies really well, without leaving too much on the face or leaving streaky lines. This brush gives you the opportunity to build cream blush, which I like because I have been know to be a bit heavy handed in the past.

(Again, sorry for the awful lighting - this is NOT an angled brush, I promise!)

The third brush I got was the complexion brush. Ilve been using this to sweep powder and bornzer across my face, and again its great as it picks up and applies just the right amount, without leaving me looking cakey or orange.

On the whole these brushes went above and beyond my expectations. I love them all and will definitely be repurchasing. What struck me the most when I first got them was how amazingly SOFT they were - so so so silky.

I have used these brushes everyday since I got them - could not recommend them more.

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment Week 2 Review...

Hey!

So for those of you that read my week 1 review (you can read it here, and see the first post here) you will know that I have so far not been too impressed with the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment. This has ALL changed this week. I don't know if it is because I am getting used to using it now, or whether its because I am giving my hair a little bit more attention - I have no idea - but this week I have absolutely LOVED using it.

I must point out that I have been using a couple of different products, which I will talk about in a minute, but my hair has never felt better. It feels so soft and shiny and in really good condition. I've even had a few people comment on how good it is looking at the moment, which is great!

So these are the two different products that I have been using this week.

They are the Clairol Nice 'N Easy Colour Seal Gloss and the Lee Stafford Bling 4 Blondes Glossing Glimmer Serum.

I've had these products for a while now, and it's really important that I tell you that, although I get great results with these products, it has never been as good as it has been while I have been using them with the hair growth treatment, which indicates that the treatment is doing a lot of good to my hair, and these products are enhancing that.

The Colour Seal Gloss is one of my favourite conditioners. I used to come with the hair dye when I dyed my own hair, and I can definitely remember these being sold on their own at one point, but I can never find them anymore, which is really annoying seen as I don't dye my own hair anymore!

The Glossing Glimmer Serum is fabulous, I love it, although do be careful to wash your hands after applying it, as they do get a little shimmery to say the least!

The Hair Growth Treatment has really impressed me this week, I am really starting to enjoy using it. I am still applying it with every wash, and their are still no obvious signs of growth, but definite signs of my hair becoming stronger. Yey!

Bargain of the week...

Hello Lovelies!

Just a quick little post to show you this cute 'bucket' I got from a lovely little shop called The Olive Branch in my home town.

I bought 2 of these a couple of weeks ago, which I put candles in, and I loved them so much I went back for another one so that I had somewhere to put my everyday make up brushes. It has cute red hearts on it, as well as cut out ones, which look really lovely on the ones with candles in. It also has a cute little handle.

The best thing about it is the price - a bargain at £3.50!

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment - Week 1 Review...

I have just finished the first full week of using the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment - you can see my first post about it here.

I wash my hair every other day, so I have used it 5 times in total. Obviously I haven't used for long enough to tell you whether it actually works as a growth treatment, but it has definitely had an impact on my hair over the past week.

My hair has been softer this week which has been nice, but, I'm not going to lie, I was expecting it to be a lot more softer than it has been. I usually have a lot of hair drop out, and I have to say I haven't really noticed that decreasing either. My hair has felt quite stringy and elasticated, which I really hate, as when I'm brushing my hair I can really feel strands stretching, and then coming out, rather than just coming out - it really feels like I'm damaging my hair.

On Tuesday this week I dried my hair really quickly and didn't really do a lot else with it (I was running late for uni) which gave me a chance to test what's like without straightening it - and again, I wasn't impressed. My hair felt just as dull as it always does if I don't put serum in or straighten it - if not MORE so on this occasion.

Having said all of this, when I have the time to spend on my hair, straightening etc, it does come out really well and feels lovely and the smell is, of course, as fabulous as ever.

So week one thoughts are not so good. I really REALLY want to love this product, I'm going to keep going with it and see what happens. I have heard SO MANY good things about this stuff - it has to work for me right? hmm...

Blog Post of the Week 01/03/11...

Hello Lovelies,

My favourite blogpost this week has been from Kellie, of Big Fashionista.

She has written a wonderful post on Fallan Idols, and when I was reading it, it was like she was reading my mind.

Why is it that the younger generation today (and I am probably including myself in that to some degree) see role models as the latest WAG, or the most recent winner of a reality contest, where as if the question of role models was asked 20 years ago, it was an award winning writer, or an inspirational teacher.

It seems sad that nowadays, it is widely thought that just because someone can eat a kangaroo's willy, they are deemed the 'nations sweetheart'.

Kellie's blog is definitely one of my favourite (I would go as far to say my top favourite... if that makes sense?!) blogs - she has a perfect of everything I want from a blog. My Basket of Forgotten Treasures...

I've been having a bit of a clear out recently, and I decided to tackle this basket that I have been avoiding over the past couple of months. I've had it for a couple of years now, and I tend to just ditch anything that I haven't used in a while in there to keep things tidy. As I started going through it, I was really suprised at some of the things I found in there, some of which I had completely forgotten about! There was a lot of rubbish, but I thought I would share a few things with you that were of interest...

First of all I found this barely used Indulgent Toffee Shimmer Body Oil, which is available from Asda. The most amazing thing about this oil is the smell. If any of you have used anything from this range before, you will know that no matter what product or flavour you get, you are always guarenteed to be blown away by the scent and this is no exception. If I could add a scratch and sniff here, I would. Aside from that, this is a lovely shimmer spray that I have used across my chest and shoulders if I am going out, or is lovely to add to a tan on an evening when on holiday. It is quite dark when sprayed, but once I've rubbed it in, it gives a lovely glow. I don't really where it during the winter, which is why I've stored it away, but it really does enhance a nice tan in the summer and gives a lovely glow.

I found these three body products, all of which I love. The first one is the mother of all body butters, Palmers Cocoa butter. I have to admit, this is one that I completely forgot that I had, but I was so happy when I found it! I think this product pretty much speaks for itself, and there is no doubt that it will be making a fabulous come back into my daily routine!

The next one is the Superdrug Coconut and Shea Butter Body Butter. I haven't used this as I bought 3 when they were on a 3 for 2 offer, and I am half way through my second tub, so this one is still yet to be used. I love the Supersrug body butters, they all smell amazing, are a really nice texture, and are really really good value for money. When I put it on in the morning after a shower, I get whiffs of the smell all day, which I really like.

The last one is one that I tend to use more during the summer, as it is a buildable tan moisturiser. This Loreal NutriSummer is my favourite of any products like this, as I quite like the smell of it compared to most, and it is so easy to apply, and really looks after my skin. The colour is lovely and natural, and it lasts and fades away nicely, instead of leaving me looking like a big streaky mess after a couple of days.

Next I found this lovely little pot of Prestige Skin Loving Minerals. I used to use this religiously every day, but, what with new things being bought, it got pushed to the back of my mind and make up collection. These minerals give a really lovely, softening finish to my skin - it puts everything into soft focus.

Tiger balm! Yey! Love this little pot of goodness, especially when I'm feeling ill and sorry for myself! The strong smell really clears my head and airwaves - its something I like to use when I have a lot of work to do, or an exam to get through. I know it may sound silly to some, but just rubbing some of this lovely balm on my temples really feels like I'm clearing my head.

This is actually an empty bottle of Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser that I couldn't bring myself to throw away - sad I know! It is perfect! Gentle, nurishing, effective, soft, smells amazing - ahhh I need to get me some more of this pronto!

My Working Weekend Make Up Bag...

Hey Lovelies :)

So as some of you may know, I am currently at Uni in Leeds studying Events Management. I live in Leeds, but I was born and brought up in york, which is half an hour down the road. I work in York once a week in a bar, meaning I am often packing an over night bag to take with me to stay at my parents for the night. I only take a small bag with me as I have to lug it with me everywhere, so I tend to only pack the real essentials on the make up front which got me thinking I could do a post on them as these are the products that I really can't go a day without wearing.

You must all be thinking that I'm mad going back home once a week just to do a shift at work, but I do it for a couple of reasons. One is that the job I have pays really really well. One shift there pays my weeks rent, so its worth going back for it. Another is that the boy lives in York, and it can be hard to see him a lot during the week as he works such funny shifts, so its a nice opportunity to see him as well.

So anyway onto the interesting stuff...

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment...

When I was at school, before I started dying my hair, I had THE best hair. It was lovely and thick and long, in great condition and I could do anything with it. But along came my rebelious years, where I had short dyed hair, and it has never been the same since.

I've always loved experiementing with my hair, and I have had so many different styles, and every colour possible, but now I have reached a stage where I am happy with the colour (blonde) but I want the long lovely hair of my early teen years. Unfortunately, due to general wear and tear, my hair has not grown in the 3 years I have been trying. Booo!

So when I saw the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment in boots, I got a little excited! I've tried all sorts of things for normal hair, coloured hair, damaged hair, everything, but I have never tried a treatment like this.

'For hair that never grows past a certain length' - it's like it was MADE for me!

What does Lee Stafford Say?

Wow! It sounds very impressive, and if it actually works, I will be amazingly happy!

So it advises that you apply this with every wash, in between shampoo and conditioner, and as it starts to improve the condition of the hair, to use once a week.

I will be blogging on the progress of this product over the next month or so - I used it for the first time this morning, so we shall see how it goes! All I can tell you now is that I love the smell! It smells just like all the other Lee Stafford products, and I personally think its amazzinggg!

Topshop Virtual Makeover...

The Bad Skin Battle - Montagne Jeunesse Blemish Mud Mask...

Hello again you lovely lot!

So you all know how much I love a good facemask. People on twitter may recall me moaning over the past few days about how bad my skin is. I'm not really sure why it's so bad at the moment, but I have been trying out quite a few new products recently, so I am eliminating them one by one! When I was in Asda yesterday, I popped a couple of Montagne Jeunesse masks in my trolley to try and solve the situation.

I got the Exfoliating Masque (left in the picture) for normal, oily and t-zone skin and is supposed to 'gently exfoliate to younger skin'. The other one is the Blemish Mud mask, to 'clear, clean and combat blemishes'.

I'm suffering from both spots and patches of dryness at the moment, which is why I decided on these two, and last night I tried out the Blemish Mud mask. It contains Willow and Aloe Vera and is supposed to clear the skin.

What do Montagne Jeunesse say about this mask?

'Why put up with blemishes? Our special mud blend of Aloe Vera, Willow, Rosemary and Witch Hazel naturally target your problem areas for a clean complexion.'

The smell of the mask is definitely a love or hate one - I personally love it. Its a very herbal smell, with the Rosemary definitely coming through. Its the kind of smell I love - a natural herbal remedy eske smell that really convinces me its going to do my skin a lot of good.

I usually put masks on with my fingers, but I decided this time to put it on with an old foundation brush. The application was a lot thinner than I would usually have it, but I didn't feel that this made any difference to the effect it had on my face.

I left it on until it was all set and then found it was really easy to remove, which I love!

My skin felt so so good afterwards, and is still feeling lovely this morning - really soft and moisturised! The dry patches seem to have gone (touch wood) which I am so happy with.

I will be trying out the other mask next week so will give a further progress report on this one then.

I got both masks from Asda, although they are available in various different places. They were the ever amazing price of 99p each - and I always get 2 applications out of each packet, so well and truely worth it!

Lipice - Enriched Lipbalm

Heyy!

About a month ago, a company called Multibrands sent me some samples of their range of Lipice Lipbalms to trail and review.

I was sent 4 to review - Original, Strawberry Touch, Suncare and Anti-Wrinkle.

So what do Multibrands say about the product?

'Lipice is a nutrient rich, protective lipbalm made with plant extracts and natural butters to protect your lips from the extremes of nature. Suitable for all ages groups, Lipice is also a fun and funky product to use for any occasion. From fun, fruity flavours, to the more natural type, each ingredient is carefully selected for its skin softening, healing and caring properties.'

I'm always a sucker for a good old lipbalm, as one of my worst worst habits, especially when I'm ill, worried, or feeling abit down in the dumps, is biting my lips in my sleep. I need all the help I can get to look after my pout, so I was looking forward to trying these out for size.

I liked the packaging they came in. It's clean and simple, with all the lipbalms sealed up, keeping pesky germs away, as well as having all of the buzz words I look for when looking for something to pamper my lips with - 'Enriched', 'Nutrient rich', 'Effective protection' and 'Hydrates, Moisturises, Smoothes, Firms', as well as listing all of the lovely vitamins that are packed into each one. The tubes they come in are fairly standard and what you would expect, with the exception of the Anti-Wrinkle, which comes in more of a lip gloss esk tube. It would have been nice if the packaging was maybe different from other similar brands, to make them look a bit more unique and intriguing. If someone I new were to use these in my company, it wouldn't be something that I would be particularly interested in asking them about. Just pretty bog standard packaging.

As you can see from the picture above, there is lots and lots of product to work with in each one. Considering all of the lipbalms are under £2, I think they are really good value for the amount you get.

I really enjoyed using the products. The Suncare, Original and Strawberry ones gave a good moisturising coverage to the lips, but not so much so that they felt greasy. The Anti-Wrinkle product is a slightly thicker formulation, but is just as effective. I really enjoy using this one more as a light lipgloss, as it gives the same effect, and yet I still feel as though my lips are being nurished.
They are all pretty colourless, apart from the strawberry one, which has a hint of a tint of colour to brighten your lips.

They all smell divine, especially the original one, which I was really surprised at, as I am never a fan of the smell of other similar products.

I've had one with me for the past month now, and my lips are considerably better - a lot softer, meaning I am less likely to pick at them in my sleep, which is always a bonus! I really like using them under lip stick and gloss, as they seem to stop my lips being dried out by them, especially through these horrid winter months.

Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to try out the Suncare product to its full potential, what with all this english weather, but I have been using them, as SPF is something that is useful all year round, and it will definitely be going in my case in the summer, as I've been really happy with the others from the range.

Lipice are available in Tesco stores. I would say they are a nice alternative to other similar brands. They have a product to suit every occasion, as well as being extremely affordable, and smelling so scrummy. Although the packaging of the actual product was slightly disappointing, considering they are under £2, I don't think it is too much of an issue at all.

Oh hello strangers! Lets start off with a lovely big haul!

We Heart It

I'm sorry. I am so so sorry. Its been 2 weeks and I am getting major major withdrawals!

I've had a pretty rubbish couple of weeks to put it nicely, and although this is no excuse to not keep up with my blog, I've been pretty down in the dumps. I've attempted a couple of posts, but my bad bad week has definitely reflected in the post, and this is not fair on my lovely readers!

So here I am, feeling a lot better, a lot happier, and with a great big whacking haul to share with you all :)

So a couple of weeks ago, the lovely Welsh Beauty Blog had a blog sale, and I literally could have bought everything from it! I decided to limit myself to these three little gems.

I got the Revlon Photo Ready foundation in Shell. I hadn't tried the foundation before, but I've heard so many good reviews about it, I couldn't resist. The colour is probably a bit pale for me, but mixed with a little tinted moisturiser, it fits be just fine! I haven't used this foundation enough to give a ful review, but so far, so very very good. The consistancy is lovely - I think I'm going to really enjoy using this.

As with the foundation, I have never actually used Dallas before, but being a life long Benefit fan, I knew you could never go wrong with one of their boxed blushes. I have been using this almost every day since I got it. It is a lovely deep colour, but not so dark that it doesn't suit my fairly pale skin tone. It is really suitable - but I've found that nothing else is needed with it. I absolutely love it, and is unlike any colour I have had before - which is saying something taking into consideration my unhealthy cheek colour obsession!

The third item I got was the Mac Eye Duel Minerlize eyeshadows in Engaging. This is another item that I have used almost every day since I recieved it. They are such pretty colours, really really great for a lovely day time look. They are great on their own, as well as with other colours, and I've found myself reaching for them again and again.

When I first saw them together, I didn't think they particularly went together, but they really complement each other really well.

I must also say that the whole service was perfect. The invoice came to me pretty much straight away and the delivery was fast. Everything was packaged beautifully and you could tell that a lot of care and attention had been given to each item. I think in total I paid £18 including postage, which, considering there is so much product left in the items, is a bargain. I highly recommend you go have a look at Welsh Beauty Blog - it's fabulous!

I've been looking for another tinted moisturiser for a while now, so when having a look at the AMAZING sight Cheap Smells, I found this Stila one in Medium 01 for just £4.95. I think these might retail at about £17, so I was very impressed with finding this. As tinted moisturisers go, this is probably thicker than ones I have used before, which suits me down to the ground as I prefer a good coverage. But although it is thicker, it still doesn't feel like I'm clogging up my face, and it's really great to wear around the house, or on a day when I don't feel I need to make much effort. I love wearing it with a bit of cream blush, mascara, and some clear gloss. Understated but pretty.

So Boots have an offer on at the moment where it is 3 for 2 on 17 products, as well as the offer of the new 17 Photo Flawless Skin Primer coming free with the Photo Flawless Foundation. So out of the 4 items I bought, I got 2 free - very happy bunny!

I have mentioned the Mascara in a Wednesday Wish List before, so I was really happy to have a try of it. It really didn't disappoint - it is AMAZING! I'm so fussy with Mascara's, but I have been using this one religiously everyday. It lengthens, volumizes, you can build it up for day time and night time looks - it literally ticks all my boxes and I certainly be repurchasng. I can't recommend it enough. I think this retails at around £6.99

The Primer is great - really velvety and silky smooth, giving a great base for my make up. My only niggle is the size - although I got it free this time, I think it retails at around £4.50 - and it's only a tiny 15ml tube. I feel that this lets it down some what.

On the the blusher, which I think is really lovely for the price! The lighter colour can be used as a great highlighter, and the darker can be used to give a more intense colour. But I much prefer to mix the two together - as you can see in the bottom picture - as it gives a really sheen and brightness to the face. This retails at around £3.49

I like the foundation - it gives a lovely finish and, with the primer lasts all day. I do, however, have a big issue with this foundation. When shopping in boots that day, it was during my break and I was in a hurry, so i picked up everything tested very quickly, and went on my way. When I got home and after closer in spection, I thought that I had picked up the wrong foundation colour as it was so so dark. But I hadn't. The colour I picked up was Fair, and I have been back in to Boots since to check this, and it wasn't a mistake.

Although the lighting in the picture above is a little bright, it gives you a better idea. So on the left is the 17 Photo Flawless Foundation in Fair, and on the right is Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation in Sand 030, which I would consider to be the best matching foundation I have found for my skin tone. I by no means have light skin, but I would describe myself as fitting in the middle of Light and Medium skin - the 17 Photo Flawless Foundation is far to dark for me. I love the foundation for all the other reasons, and it could be something I could maybe take on holiday with me, or mix with another foundation - but I found the whole situation really odd. Have any of you tried it? What did you think? Is it just me?

The next think I have bought is the Maybelline Dream Creamy Foundation in Sand 030. I wanted to try this as my friend has been raving about it, and my favourite favourite foundation, as I mentioned earlier, is the Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation, for the colour, the texture, everything, so I was excited to see if this one impressed me just as much. I was a little disappointed in this one. I don't feel that the coverage is as good as the satin version, it doesn't sit very well on my skin, and I don't feel like it lasts. I would maybe use it as a base for another foundation - but I think that would be about it. I'm really disappointed - I wanted to like it sooo much as I love Maybelline, but its just not for me. This retails at around £8.99.

This is one of my most exciting purchases! I got this blush and eyeshadow from TKMaxx for £5.99, with the retail price being £19. I LOVE everything about it, the colour, the shimmer, the way you can build it from being quite sheer, to being a fabulous night time blush its just lovely. I love the packaging - EVERYTHING! It is really quite pigmented, but if applied with a light fan brush, it gives my face a lovely finish.

The last thing on my very long list is this little Topshop Beaut. I have been dying to get this for ages, and I finally did. It is the cream blush in flush. I decided to go with this one instead of the ever so popular Neon Rose, and I found this shade to be a little more pinker and in my opinion pretty, as well as suiting my skin tone a little better. I love how soft and creamy the formulation of this is, unlike other cream blushes which can be a little sticky for me (I'm looking at you Mac!)

I wanted to pop a little post about these lovely Lush facemasks. I often wander in and like the look of these masks, so over the past month I decided to try a couple out.

The two that I went for were Cupcake and Brazened Honey.

I have tried both of these out a couple of times now, but I thought I would treat myself to another one this morning. I love putting facemasks on with other people - it makes it all a lot more fun, and seeing as the boy is playing rugby today, I popped home to see the family - and it would appear that my little brother wanted in on the action instead :) (sorry about the picture quality of this one, it was taken on his phone.). Note the elastic band holding his hair up! Bless him!
So in this picture I am wearing Brazened Honey and Lewi is sporting the rather chocolatey Cupcake.

So lets have a look at Brazened Honey.

What do Lush say?

'A powerhouse of effective ingredients for all tired skins. exfoliating, detoxifying, stimulating and nourishing.

Refreshing herbs and fruit Juice are blended with warming Ayurvedic herbs and spices. With Ground Almonds to polish and moisturising Honey, this blend leaves the skin vibrant and re-vitalised.'

This mask has a really strong fragrance of... I'm not really too sure what. It's not an unpleasent smell by any means, but I can't quite put my finger on it. You can smell the herbs in it for sure - but after that I'm pretty stuck...

The mask itself is quite dry, a lot more than I thought it would be. It is very course, much like a scrub, so when I was applying it, it really felt like it was removing any dry and damaged skin. For the ten minutes I had it on, it felt really refreshing and lovely - it felt as though it was really brightening my skin up. I had that cool and soothing feeling when you first apply a mask the whole time I was wearing it - it was really refreshing and nice. After taking the mask off, my skin felt lovely and velvety smooth, and was really bright for a good couple of days.

Cupcake -

What do Lush say?

'Chocolate heaven for oily and teenage skin. Its action removes excess oil and calms breakouts. Rhassoul Mud cleans and soothes, Cocoa Butter, Linseed and Cocoa Powder soften the skin. Balancing Peppermint, Spearmint and Sandalwood Oils complete this effective and delicious experience.'

The first thing I noticed about this mask is the amazing chocolatey smell. Although it is still quite thick and course, it's not as dry and course as the other one, so it was kind of easier to apply and felt smoother on the skin.

This one didn't feel as refreshing on my skin while I was wearing it, but then I guess thats not the intention of this mask. By no means was it unpleasent to wear like other masks I have tried. It was easy to clean off, which I was happy about, as sometimes masks can take a lot of rubbing off, leaving my skin red and sore. This one felt quite gentle on my skin, but I loved the results. My skin was definitely left less oily and more even, and beautifully soft. I would say that the results didn't last as long as the other mask, but I was still really pleased.

I loved both of these masks and would highly recommend both of them. I think they were about £4.50 each, and both contain 75g worth of profit. I've used both of them a few times each, and as you can tell by the photos, I am yet to hit the bottom! I love the packaging of them, and they are really easy to store.

They do say that they should be kept chilled, but I have not been doing this and they have kept fine for me. They do also have a use by date on them, that I would say stick to, due to all of the natural ingredients in them, but I can't really see anything drastic happening if they were used after their use by date.

Lush are also running a great offer on these facemasks that, as far as I know, is an on going thing and not just for a limited time. If you take 5 empty pots back to the shop, they will give you a fresh face mask free.

Oh and, I know your all wondering - what was the little Bro's verdict on Cupcake?

'Well erm... it smells nice, but it felt weird when it was on my face. I might try it again, I dunno...'

A little update from last weeks Wishlist - I had a big boots haul today, and one thing I bought was the 17 Va Va Voom mascara that I mentioned. I will do a big haul post tomorrow and show you everything else, as well as doing a review on it in a couple of weeks time.

So what on my wishlist this week?

Fiorelli Astor Flapover Clutch - £45

I feel in love as soon as I saw this bag. How amazingly beautiful is it? It gives a sexy twist to your average black clutch. And I imagine it would be so versatile - perfect for a night out with the girls, dinner with the boy, or a family gathering.

Asos

Paperself Paper Lashes, Peacock - £12

When I was browsing around Asos, I found these unusual looking eyelashes. They have them in serveral different designs, as well as having individual lashes as well. I'm not sure whether they would ever be an essential in my make up bag, but they look like they would be great fun to try and experiment with!

Harrods

Dainty Doll Wonderbalm - £20.50

I love the look of this Wonderbalm. When I was in Harrods a couple of months ago, I had a look at the Dainty Doll collection - but not really expecting to find anything as I didn't think it was suitable for me. But I saw this and really loved the look of it. I didn't buy it but I really wish I had! Its a multi purpose product that can be used to everywhere - almost like Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. I'm not too sure how it compares to the 8 hour cream, but I would really love to have a play with it.

The last thing on my wish list is kind of a strange one - this week I really wish I was brunette!

So I used to have dark hair for a few years, but I now have really light blonde hair. I really love my blond locks, and it has taken me so long to get it to this colour, as I had to do it gradually due to how dark my hair was. But its getting really hard to maintain, as I don't like to colour it myself when it is blonde, and as a poor student, it is really hard to part with the substantial amount of money it costs to look after. If I went back to being darker, even if it was just for a couple of years, I would feel a lot more comfortable dying it myself, and would be a lot easier to maintain.

But having said all of that - I'm not sure I could do it to my lovely blondness... Hmmm we shall see!
